Seeing a post like on Reddit like other one on the left is usually what sets me off into a rabbit hole. The first place I go is scholar.google.com and see what I can find in the literature.


Next I see how much activity has changed in the sub over the past 5 years -- in r/BFS we see a 1401% increase in members. In comparison, during the same time frame subs like r/interestingasfuck saw 144.68% growth in membership, and r/thatsinsane increased just 332.69%.


When you Google search mentions of "vaccine" on the BFS subreddit, we see results have increased 2471% over the last 5 years.
