A video on the state of modern medicine, according to r/AskDocs:
(Posts from verified users over the last 12 months)
When I first tried to share the massive amount of destruction I was seeing across these subreddits with other Reddit users, the first thing people would say was "wow you actually fell for the bots". Basically, everything was dismissed as being fake posts made by fake profiles.
And then just the other day a friend sent me an article about bot Reddit users taking over Reddit and flooding subs with AI generated posts from AI profiles.
But the great thing about Reddit is that you can click on a username and view a profile that contains all the user's post and comment history. You can see their karma, the subs they follow, how long they've been a Reddit user.
If you do some investigating of your own by clicking into different users profiles and looking at they history, you'll see its not hard to recognize a real human being.
I took a screen recording of two profiles just so you can see how I determine whether someone is a real person or not. You can also follow how their illness first presents and progresses over time through their posts, which is really interesting.
You also get to follow along with their medical journey - what their test results were, what their doctor said, who they're being referred to... I mean, these are full case studies worth of detailed, unbiased information.
I mean sure, some of these people have anxiety but if you felt like your body was suddenly failing you, you would too.
But if I had any questions on whether a profile was real or not, I just messaged them.

So no, this is not just a collection of bot posts, and it's not just selection bias. It is a presentation of chronic illness, stroke, autonomic dysfunction, heart disease, autoimmune, degenerative disease, reproductive disease, allergies and 'mystery illness' suddenly exploding in populations where these diagnoses were previously non-existent.
I've been reading posts on this sub for 4 years. Weekly, if not almost daily. There is something wrong. There is a silent epidemic of illness that is terrorizing the youth of America.
The amount of chronic sickness really scares me.
